Student 1:1 Device Programs
We provide Chromebooks to all students in grades K-12. To ensure longevity and focus, our device management varies by level:
- Elementary & Middle School (K-8): Students utilize a "Classroom Cart" model. Devices remain at school, ensuring they are charged, updated, and ready for instruction every morning.
- High School (9-12): Students are assigned a dedicated 1:1 Chromebook for use both at school and home to support extended learning and research.
- Personal Devices: While the district provides standardized 1:1 hardware, students may use personal devices at the High School level provided they adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). This form is available at the Office or Media Center, and must be signed by both students and parent/guardian.
- Tech Support & Repairs: If a device is malfunctioning or damaged, students should visit the Media Center to receive a loaner and start the repair process.
Digital Safety & Privacy
We prioritize student safety and data protection in compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA regulations.
- AI-Driven Protection: NMPS utilizes Deledao, an industry-leading content filter, to protect students in real-time from inappropriate content and digital distractions on all district devices.
- Device Insurance: Annual technology agreements and optional accidental damage insurance are managed through Final Forms.
- Vetted Resources: Every digital tool used in our classrooms undergoes a privacy review to ensure student data remains protected.
Infrastructure & Investment
We are grateful for the continued community support that allows us to maintain a modern, enterprise-level network
- Tech & Security Millage: Funding from the county-wide millage supports our 1:1 student device program, security camera upgrades, and robust wireless infrastructure.
- Network Security: Our district utilizes advanced firewall protection and endpoint security to safeguard our internal systems.
